My name is Selina and I am the creative director for Henna Garden. Henna has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember! Being a muslim and also from an asian background, henna is part of my heritage and culture.
It’s wonderful to see that during festivals and celebrations, henna brings everyone together.
Personally I have seen many talented henna artists but there has been a gap in the market with regards to using 100% natural henna. I have found that many people purchase the pre-made cones from local shops, however very rarely it is comprised of pure henna.
I come from an artistic background, not only trying to expand on my henna work but I am also a qualified make up artist and beauty therapist!
For the last six years I have been trying to incorporate my own henna styles, combining it with mainstream fashion as well as culture. Now finally starting up the retail side of my henna business, I hope everyone enjoys using the products.
I feel as though there are so many things still to learn about henna and everyday I carry on learning! I hope that henna brings everyone the same joy that I have had over the last few years.
